In Christmas Duets for the Piano, Mr. Loftis has arranged ten favorite Christmas songs for students to play in the easy, two thumbs on C position. The unique features of his duet books are: Not only are beginning students able to play the ten Christmas melodies (primos) of each song, but also they can play all the accompaniments (secondos) as well. Each primo and secondo has been arranged in the middle C position. All primos sound "complete" as solo pieces and may be performed as such. The secondos add harmony and simple counterpoint to the Christmas melodies. Two students can play these duets on one piano. They will have fun while they learn to play both parts of each duet. In order to play these easy carols they still must learn to count and to listen to each other.
